Asley - Zumba®
Ashley is a Colorado native and recently moved here from the Denver area. She loves being outdoors, exploring new places and meeting new people! Ashley loves to dance, whether it be in the classroom as a Zumba instructor, having fun Country dancing or just being goofy and dancing it up. She loves all styles of dance and wants to learn more. She's been an active Zumba member for almost 6 years now and an instructor for almost 3 years. Ashley has met amazing people through dance and can't wait to meet more!
Dave - BodyFit, *Personal Trainer*
Dave has been a weightlifting and CrossFit Coach for eight years in Park and Summit Counties. In his free time, he stays active by spending time outdoors. Dave has been an athlete his whole life and loves to share his passion of fitness and athletics to help people reach their goals. In addition to teaching fitness at the rec center, Dave is also a Personal Trainer! Contact us to schedule your one-on-one personal traininer session with Dave. (Available for couples, too.)
Gail - Yoga
Gail began her passion for movement with dance at a young age in New England. Dancing professionally in Connecticut, New York and Colorado. Gail learned that Yoga and Pilates can help heal the mind, body and spirit. After Attending the University of Colorado Boulder for dance she continued to expand her passion with a Pilates mat certification and then a Yoga 200 hour Certification through Shoshoni in Rollinsville, CO. As a registered RYT 200 with Yoga Alliance, Gail enjoys expanding her knowledge with continuing education and is looking forward to receiving more certifications and bringing that knowledge base to her students. Gail has been teaching the movement arts for 30 years and has a passion for bringing breath and creativity into all her classes. Her attention to detail in a fun, friendly and healing class makes each student yearn for more.
Greta - Dance
Greta was born and raised in Berthoud, CO where she grew up dancing since the age of 8. She began student teaching as a sophomore in high school, and was then a lead instructor since her senior year in high school in 2009. She continued to teach all throughout college in styles varying from jazz and lyrical to improv. Greta met her husband Jeremy at Colorado Christian University and got married in 2013! In 2014 she graduated with a degree in Youth Ministry, and continued teaching dance through a studio in Loveland, CO called Lighthouse Dance. She now loves to teach advanced classes and her favorite style has morphed into contemporary and improv. She continues to take class in Boulder, CO with Block 1750. In 2015 Greta developed her own traveling dance company called Messengerz Dance Co. and traveled to New Zealand in 2016 to teach dance camps to student of all ages. She loves to dance and teach dance technique and is excited for this new chapter ahead!
Jeremy - Martial Arts
Jeremy is originally from the greater Dallas area. He moved to Fairplay last year and opened Iron Antler Tattoo in town. He has over 10 years of combined experience in Muay Thai Kickboxing as well as Western Boxing and still actively competes in both styles. He taught Martial Arts for two years in Texas and now teaches here at South Park Recreation Center. Come and check out this exciting new style of fitness!
Kendra - Aqua Aerobics, Children's Fitness, SilverSneakers®
Kendra grew up in the Lake Erie area on an island between Michigan and Windsor Canada. Her travels have led her to many interesting places in the world. Starting out in gymnastics as a youngster, she transitioned into various youth sports, always building onto the key elements she learned as a gymnast. Hard work, courage, and a positive attitude has helped shape her skills to becoming a fitness instructor and very well-rounded athlete. Kendra offers 3 classes at the Rec Center: Preschool gymnastics, SilverSneakers®, and Aqua Aerobics. She feels that each class is a great way to get a low impact work out, gain flexibility and strength, while having some fun! Kendra has been in the Fairplay area over a year and just loves the outside activities that the Park County area has to offer. She feels blessed to be truly living the dream where most people vacation!
Megan - Yoga
Megan is a Certified Hatha Yoga Instructor. She has lived in and around Fairplay since 1998 and has been teaching yoga at South Park Recreation Center since 2012. She has found that, much like life, yoga is not always easy, but during her years of practice she has experienced greater emotional balance, more ease in her body, clarity of mind and a deeper connection to her true self. Megan's classes are for anyone who wishes to grow, heal and get closer to achieving their best. The benefits are tremendous! She looks forward to seeing you in class!
